• 29 million households intend to buy life insurance within the next 12 months.
• One-third of more affluent households ($100,000 or more of household income) say they need more insurance.
• 22% of Americans do NOT own life insurance.
• Almost three-fourths of Americans agree that life insurance is the best way to protect themselves and their families against the premature death of a primary wage earner.

Americans want professional help.

• 29% of Americans would like to discuss life insurance with a financial professional.
• 70% agree it would be helpful to periodically review the terms and provisions of their current life insurance policies.
• One-third of Americans with life insurance would like to review their coverage every year or two.  Almost half want a review within five years.
